The Environmental Justice Leadership Forum Roundtable on Climate Change, Public Health and Vulnerable Communities is an invitation only, two-day event focused on two specific aims.
The first aim is to bring federal agents working on climate adaptation planning together with environmental justice leaders from across the country along with our allies in research, public health and environment to provide an update on the federal agencies activities and advances in developing climate adaptation plans, as well as provide an opportunity for the EJ movement to offer feedback and guidance to the agencies as they move their climate adaptation planning forward.
Second, the EJ Leadership Forum will engage the federal agencies that have been invited to this meeting about the their respective roadmaps for implementing the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Justice and Executive Order 12898.
Additionally, for the EJ Movement attendees we will be offering a variety of capacity enhancing workshops on such issues as accessing grants, project management and developing effective communication for communities on the issue of climate change. All of these workshops will be designed to offer tools that can be taken back to your organizations and deployed quickly and effectively.
Attendance at the roundtable will be free of charge, however all invited guests and speakers are asked to register to confirm your attendance at this event, and to receive information updates.
