Jake Carlson joined WE ACT in the summer of 2011 as the Environmental Policy and Advocacy Coordinator for Transportation Equity. Before joining WE ACT, Jake lived in Bangalore, India where he assisted a local environmental justice group in their campaigns around the preservation of the commons, coastal issues, toxic landfills, and GM foods, among others. He has also held a number of research positions through the University of Minnesota. Jake sees equitable, affordable transportation as a key tool for fighting social, economic, and environmental injustice.
