The WE ACT for Climate Justice Project

Over the past few years, WE ACT has been working to address climate change and to infuse dialogue about challenges and solutions to the crisis with an environmental justice perspective. The Campaign for New York’s Future is one arena in which we are collaborating to build a sustainable future for our children. WE ACT has been part of the Environmental Justice Climate Change (EJCC) Initiative since 1998. Since the beginning of 2007 we have been engaged in a working group of environmental and international development organizations to address the challenges of confronting climate change on a global level. The working group – which includes organizations like Friends of the Earth, Oxfam, and the Natural Resources Defense Council – is focused on holding the U.S. accountable for its promise to provide resources and technical assistance to developing nations through the Millennium Challenge. WE ACT is also working to secure climate justice through the following initiatives:
