Amy O'Donnell

Amy O’Donnell is originally from central Pennsylvania.  She received a B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University in 2002 and received a J.D. from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 2005 with a concentration in taxation.  She served on the Temple Law Political and Civil Rights Law Review. 

She began her career on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Fellow in the Office of Congressman Neil Abercrombie.  In the 2006 campaign cycle she worked as Counsel for the Lois Murphy for Congress Campaign, organizing the campaign’s Election Protection efforts.  She currently works as Tax Counsel handling Ways and Means issues for Congressman John B. Larson of Connecticut’s First District. Congressman Larson was elected Chair of the House Democratic Caucus in 2008, which makes him the fourth-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives.  Congressman Larson serves on the Select Revenue Measures Subcommittee as well as the Subcommittee on Trade. He is also a member of the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming and she staffs him on tax issues related to climate change. Congressman Larson introduced the America’s Energy Security Trust Fund Act in 2007, which would implement a carbon tax with a payroll tax reduction.
