James K. Boyce

James K. Boyce is professor of economics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and director of the program on development, peacebuilding, and the environment at the Political Economy Research Institute (http://www.peri.umass.edu/). His books include The Political Economy of the Environment (Edward Elgar, 2002), and Reclaiming Nature: Environmental Justice and Ecological Restoration(Anthem Press, 2007). He is the co-author of In the Wake of the Storm: Environment, Disaster, and Race After Katrina (Russell Sage Foundation, 2006) and of Cap and Dividend: How to Curb Global Warming While Protecting the Incomes of American Families (PERI, 2007, available at
