Northern Manhattan and the Congestion Pricing Plan – A Comprehensive Look at the Citywide Plan from a Community Perspective (PDF): Produced in collaboration with the Urban Design Lab and the Center for Sustainable Urban Development at the Earth Institute at Columbia University (with funding from the Ford Foundation and New York Community Trust), this report presents WE ACT's findings on the issue of congestion pricing and its effects on Northern Manhattan, and makes recommendations that we expect can ensure that congestion pricing is a benefit and not a burden to Northern Manhattan communities. Genes and Justice – A Community Symposium on Health, Race and Rights(Resource Guide): Our fall 2007 Genes and Justice symposium initiated a series of conversations for communities of color to assess the implications of the growing role that genetic information plays in our society. Co-published with the Genetics Equity Network, this resource guide is a rich primer authored by symposium participants and others. Topics include Genetics 101, health and race, law and regulation, criminal justice, genetic ethics and policy.
Race, Poverty and the Environment – A Journal for Social and Environmental Justice: Published twice annually by the Urban Habitat Program in California, this special issue, co-published and co-edited by WE ACT, focuses on the use of science and research to advance environmental justice.
