Albany Advocacy Day: Lead, Toxins, & Climate

Make your Earth Day meaningful by joining us for our Albany Advocacy Day on Tuesday, April 25. Our state leaders need to hear from you on critical environmental justice legislation!

We are at a critical point in our fight for environmental and climate justice legislation in New York State. That is why we invite you to join us for a day in Albany to meet with New York State elected officials about legislation that can address the childhood lead poisoning crisis, get toxins out of our everyday products, and combat climate change. And we are hosting a virtual training session beforehand so you can learn about these environmental justice bills and feel more comfortable meeting with legislators.

We’re providing the bus, free of charge, along with a free lunch. We’ll be meeting outside our office (1854 Amsterdam Avenue, at the corner of 152nd Street) at 7:30 AM on April 25. After our day in Albany meeting with state legislators, we will drop you off at our office at 6:30 PM that evening. RSVP here to join us in Albany.

In preparation for the Advocacy Day, we encourage you to attend our virtual training from 6:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, April 20 to learn about the bills we will be lobbying for as well as some key talking points and tips for meeting with legislators. RSVP here to attend the virtual training session.
