Central Harlem Workshop for Heat, Health, & Equity

Do you live in Central Harlem? Then come participate in this two-hour community planning workshops for our Heat, Health, & Equity project. These workshops will be held in neighborhoods throughout Northern Manhattan to develop policy recommendations to reduce the health impacts of extreme heat in our communities. The Central Harlem workshop is scheduled for Thursday, December 5 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the National Black Leadership Commission on Health, which is located at 215 West 125th Street, 3rd Floor (between 125th & Adam Clayton Powell).

If you are interested in participating (we’re providing $25 compensation for your time), then RSVP here or email sonal@weact.org and let her know that you’ll be at the Central Harlem workshop – and be sure to include your name, address, and phone number as well.

After these workshops, we will be working on policy recommendations based on the input you provide. And we will encourage participants to join us again in 2020 to help push for legislation based on these community-generated recommendations.
