Colorism in the Beauty Industry: How the Manufacture & Marketing of Cosmetics is Poisoning People of Color

Join us on Friday, January 27 from 12:30-2:00 PM for an online panel discussion of the results of our Beauty Inside Out survey of Northern Manhattan residents, which examined the use of chemical straighteners and skin lighteners among BIPOC adults. The results of the survey were compiled by Dr. Lariah Edwards, Environmental Health Scientist at Environmental Defense Fund and Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and recently published in Environmental Justice.
