Community Cooling Workshop

Extreme heat is the deadliest impact of climate change, and communities of color are the most affected. Just last week, global temperatures reached an all time high, and we can’t delay fortifying our neighborhoods against these conditions any longer.

Come to our Community Cooling Workshop on Wednesday, July 26 at 6 PM at 454 West 155th Street, the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge. We would like to hear how you deal with extreme heat events and provide you with resources and information to help you and your family stay safe. We will also talk about how you can get involved in fighting for policy solutions to help our community address extreme heat, including improving Cooling Centers, setting a Maximum Indoor Temperature, and establishing an Urban Forest Master Plan. Refreshments and Spanish interpretation will be available. RSVP here!
