DIY Beauty Night
To celebrate Children’s Environmental Health Month, the Columbia Center for Children’s Environmental Health, its Youth council members (The EHJ Advocates), and WE ACT invite youth in the community to join us for our DIY Beauty Night! Participants will have the opportunity to participate in make-up tutorials, create their own beauty products, and learn about the ingredients in the products they use on a daily basis. We encourage community members to bring their friends, family, and some of their favorite beauty products from home. Make sure to arrive early – the first 50 people to arrive will be entered into a raffle for some fantastic beauty-related prizes!
In addition, girls and femme-identifying people of color between 13-17 years of age that live in Northern Manhattan or the South Bronx will have the opportunity to participate in the Beauty Inside Out Campaign survey! The survey aims to understand how girls and femme-identifying people of color use and feel about some types of cosmetic products and how this might affect their health. If you qualify and are interested in participating, please complete our participation form!
This event will be a hybrid event, both virtual and in-person. Please register here to attend.
