Do you live in East Harlem? Then come participate in this two-hour community planning workshops for our Heat, Health, & Equity project. These workshops will be held in neighborhoods throughout Northern Manhattan to develop policy recommendations to reduce the health impacts of extreme heat in our communities. The East Harlem workshop is scheduled for Saturday, December 7 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Picture the Homeless, which is located at 104 East 126th Street, #1B (between Park & Lexington Avenues).
If you are interested in participating (we’re providing $25 compensation for your time), then RSVP here or email firstname.lastname@example.org and let her know that you’ll be at the East Harlem workshop – and be sure to include your name, address, and phone number as well.
After these workshops, we will be working on policy recommendations based on the input you provide. And we will encourage participants to join us again in 2020 to help push for legislation based on these community-generated recommendations.
