Inwood Climate & Health Town Hall
Our Inwood Climate & Health Project has been working with Inwood residents over the past few months to prioritize these health impacts and develop an action plan for addressing them. Based on input from the community, we identified extreme heat as the most pressing concern.
Since that initial community conversation, we have been working with a volunteer task force of residents to develop a set of recommendations to address extreme heat in Inwood. And now we are ready to share that plan with the community at our Town Hall on Saturday, Oct. 26th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the PS/IS 52 Harold O. Levy School on 650 Academy Street in Inwood.
If you are concerned about climate change and its impact on Inwood, then we encourage you to join us for this presentation and invite you and your neighbors to offer feedback before we share this with New York State Senator Robert Jackson – who co-hosted this project – and other officials representing Inwood.
Lunch & refreshments, childcare & activities, and Spanish-language interpretation will be provided; this site is accessible.
