PFAS Webinar: What Frontline Communities Need to Know About These Toxic Chemicals

PFAS are a group of widely used chemicals that are linked to a variety of health concerns. Because of their prevalence, and use and manufacture, they are of particular concern to our communities. At 3:00 PM on October 31st, we will host a webinar discussing the health impacts of PFAS exposure in low-income communities and communities of color. In partnership with the Environmental Working Group, we will explain what these chemicals are, how we’re exposed to them, how those living in frontline communities are being affected, and offer suggestions on how to minimize your risk. Presenters will include WE ACT’s Director of Environmental Heath Lubna Ahmed, Fountain Valley Clean Water Coalition’s Director of Political Outreach Mark Favors, and the Environmental Working Group’s Senior Scientist Tasha Stoiber, Ph.D. Following the presentation, we will be taking questions from the audience.
