Jeanne Bergman

Jeanne Bergman is WE ACT for Environmental Justice’s Director of Programs. Jeanne is a climate activist committed to racial, economic, and social justice, with a deep interest in energy policy and a just and rapid transition to affordable, renewable electricity. With the Sane Energy Project and the No North Brooklyn Pipeline Coalition, she has been fighting to stop National Grid’s unnecessary fracked gas pipeline that is being rammed through low-income communities of color in Brooklyn.

Jeanne has three advanced degrees, including a Master in Sustainability Management from Columbia, and worked in HIV/AIDS policy and advocacy and nonprofit management for two decades before shifting to work for environmental justice.
